19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has experienced a difficult year, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally parting ways with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over challenger Moutet.
It is his initial trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on court had prompted commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
Moutet rescued 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
