Multiple passengers and crew sustained injuries after a Delta jet from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia encountered turbulence on Friday morning.

Flight DL41 "encountered brief turbulence" as it made its approach and landed at Sydney Airport, an airline spokesperson told. A number of the onboard staff required medical attention.

Local paramedics stated they assessed five patients, and transferred three of them to a medical facility with minor injuries that comprised spinal discomfort and headaches. The injured were between their 30s to 70s.
